Dave was called for Grand Jury duty and would have had to miss work for a month if he were chosen. Fortunately, when he showed up yesterday, they drew the names out of a manila envelope (a fancy method of jury selection, I know) and he was not selected! Dave has beaten the odds. And he didn't even have to use any fancy Elle Woods legalese to get out of it! This was a big relief for us.

Tim got called in for a jury summons a little while back and got off the hook in a similar way. Thank goodness, huh?
